These incredible swimmers and divers – a “veritable avian submarine” as the American Bird Conservancy puts it – are an unforgettable fixture of the northern forest in summertime. Their eerie, mournful calls are the soundtrack of wilderness nights, and their red eye, white necklace, and black-and-white checkerboard back make them unmistakable on large woodland lakes in the breeding season. Bird Collective will donate 20% of the profits from this patch to the American Bird Conservancy as it works to protect native birds and their habitats across the Western Hemisphere. All embroidered bird patches have an iron-on backing, but the adhesive is temporary. For durability, we recommend sewing or using a permanent, flexible fabric glue. Dimensions: 3.1" wide x 1.2" high.
